I’ve taken a lot of baby photos this month…a very good thing for me since I love them but I’m aware that I don’t want to swamp the blog with too many of them and bore you all. I hope you guys don’t mind if I share a couple though if I space them out a bit. I bought a macro lens with this shot in mind and am so happy with how it turned out. I’ve never had a steady hand though so it’s a bit of a challenge for me to keep things sharp.

Please don’t contribute to the stereotype that men aren’t enamored by newborns. All the men I’m friends with have been besotted with their offspring. Perhaps there hasn’t been a photographer round who has captured ravishing images fresh from the womb. – until now.

Sorry Omani, I should have worded that better. I meant “guys” in the American way referring to both women and men, not just to you fellas :)

Of course men are interested in their kids and woman also. It is just that many of us do not want to look to sweet and like to hide their emotions. I wish you have taken a picture of myself when i was born, that one is great!

You should also have gone to LA, and took pictures of the octuplets that were born yesterday, if you have heard about!

Me too. I too would have another child if only to have the infant photographed by you Claire. I sit in London. I breathe the air of the capital of Empire long ago. And I say you have more talent in your depressing finder, the one that snaps the infant, than all the photographers that have eeked out a living on this before.
Admittedly I’ve had a bottle of Chat-en-Oeuf 2007, and been out photographing the London Eye, so I might be prone to hyperbole… but I consider you are bloody fantastical with the lens and shutter.

Sorry for the typo: I meant to say… “you have more talent in your depressing finger…”
