Excellent seeing the results here Claire, I am green with envy of that new lens you have picked up, does a fantastic job.

I have to say the first photo would be my favourite something to do with the colouration you have done, its really nice and the backdrop seems to suit the guy perfectly.

Great job Claire. All the photos are so well taken. Th Coppingers indeed look very fit and healthy – I won’t be racing them to the top of the Sugarloaf!

My wife was about to put me to death for agreeing to this session! However, she enjoyed it when it happened. A nice friendly photographer makes such a difference!

Wow. I love your use of colour and composition all the way through. I really like the textures at play in the first one of Matt, and your effortless characterisation of Mike. He really does seem like a nice guy in those photos

Thanks everyone! I was so exhausted at the end of the day’s shooting but I had a great time doing it.

@Redmum: Thank you. I have to say my new lens was a star on the day. I’m so happy with the detail and the sharpness I can get with it.

@Aisling: You’re more then welcome. I’m sure John will be very happy to know you like the shots of him and his wife. I do too, they’re a lovely couple.

@That Girl: I will be taking some more shots of you at the Irish Businesswomen’s Conference…I’m down to take photographs of all the speakers and I’m looking forward to getting some more of you

@Erik: Maybe I would be in heaven taking photographs in your part of the world! You never know…it just might happen.

@Marci: I do the conversions in Photoshop but the trick is not to do the straight Desaturation or Convert to Greyscale. I use the channel mixer and curves to boost the contrast. It’s a bit complicated…maybe I’ll do a post about it.

@Matt: That means a lot Matt, I’m so glad everyone seems to be happy with the results! I’m especially glad your better half approves

How do you do your Black and White photos. Do you change them in Adobe? Mine always looks so flat. Any suggestions?
