Please Help Me Choose

I’ve been invited by Acara.ie to participate in an art exhibition and auction at the end of November in aid of One In Four, which is a charity that works to support men and women who have experienced sexual violence. I’m very honoured to have been asked but now I’m faced with having to choose a photograph to submit by Thursday!! I’ve gone through my photos and chosen a few of my own favourites and I’m asking for your help in choosing one. My experience is that my favourites are not neccessarily what other people like so if there are any that I haven’t included but you spot on my blog or Flickr page then please feel free to suggest it.

The theme is “Being Bold” which is quite an open theme and can be applied in a lot of different ways, but obviously some images will suit better than others.

Thank you so much!

Definitely one of the smoke ones….not sure I can choose between them though. Too bad you don’t have 3 of them – I think they’d make a good triptych.

Hi Claire. I’ve always loved your Ghostly Road shot as you know. It might fit in with the theme. I also like Making a Splash…which could fit in well too. Smoke shots maybe…but some might mistake them for fractals…I guess if you know the exhibition slant and audience best you could make a judgement. Good luck!

The broken glass would be fairly relevant to the bold theme. Although Keel is one of my favourites, and the steel bit is kind of bold in a different way. Love the smoke too though! Love the hands too… but better stop there!

J.

I have to say I think the broken glass may well suit the theme better, but in all honesty the making a splash photo is in my honest opinion the best shot there, it was also the one my eye got drawn into when looking at all the thumbnails.

Your smoke shots are fantastic but I am loathe to say it, kind of unoriginal, lots of photobloggers have done this before and thats I think why the making a splash shot was the first one I went to click on, its original and the composition and framing are perfect.

Thanks for all the great feedback everyone, no clear winner yet but a couple of favourites are emerging. Thanks to your comments I’ve already ruled out a few including the two smoke ones; I agree that they do look just like fractals and they’re not really what I normally take photos of. I agree with you McAW, they’re more of a fun exercise that most of us photobloggers have had a go at at some stage 😀

Anyway, I still have a couple of days to choose one so if there are any other votes please chime in.
