I recently ordered some photobooks and they arrived just a few days ago. I’m so impressed with the quality, they’re just yummy. The print quality is spot on, the pages are the perfect thickness and everyone I’ve shown them to just loves the idea of having photos displayed this way. This one was the smallest one and is a dinky 7×7. I can’t wait for Daniel’s Mum to see it!

Wow – the quality look great. (Helped by the phenomenal photos too)

Is there a Gingerpixel ‘coffee table book of photos’ coming anytime soon??

Lucy August 6, 2008 at 12:45 pm

This looks so gorgeous! Those blurb books seem to turn out great, Id love to have a go, how expensieve is this one?

Marcus Mac Innes August 6, 2008 at 12:50 pm

Very impressive!

gingerpixel August 6, 2008 at 12:54 pm

@David and Marcus, yes, I’m very happy with the quality. I’ve seen some similar ones by other companies and thought they looked cheap and a little shoddy but the finish on these is really nice.

@Lucy I’ll pm you ;)

Great work and a real family treasure.

Blurb are good. Elly did one of her wedding photos and another softback of photos for a friend.

Darren August 6, 2008 at 1:38 pm

It looks fantastic. Will you be bringing it along on the 16th?

frombrandon August 6, 2008 at 1:57 pm

Wait…so were these Blurb books, or did you use someone else?

They do look great.

gingerpixel August 6, 2008 at 2:13 pm

@Grannymar: Thanks! I’d like to see the softback ones too, I’d say they’re nice as well.

@Darren: yep, I’ll bring it along with me.

@frombrandon: Yes, these ones are Blurb. I’m trying a few different ones to test out the quality.

That looks great. I’ve been curious about books like that for a while now, so am pleased to hear that you think the quality is good. I look forward to hearing how the others turn out!

Hey

That looks great! Which site did you use? Shutterfly?

gingerpixel August 7, 2008 at 11:49 pm

Hi John, no, I’ve not really looked at Shutterfly. This is a Blurb book.

Kate August 10, 2008 at 12:07 pm

Great to see how the books actually turn out. Its given me a bit more confidence in actually purchasing a book myself! Thanks. By the way, I’ve added a link to your site from my blog – hope you don’t mind.

What an adorable idea! How much does this cost?

Anna September 5, 2008 at 3:33 am

Hi Claire,
beautiful book and GREAT pictures! I haven’t used Blurb yet ( I use Asuka and Renaissance). A wedding photographer from Kiev – Sergey Usik recommended this company to me. I like his albums and I really like the one you did, so i think I’ll give it a try. Lots of hugs:-)

having a photobook is a great idea for your high school memories, being over 30 i wish i could go back and remember those good times through captured memories.

Rojo September 13, 2008 at 5:15 pm

Front and back cover are fantastic! :-)

I have never heard of picture books before but this is fantastic! What a great idea and what a treasure. I will be interested in seeing how the other brands come out.

Gorgeous photos!

Looks a great book.

I have started using Blurb too and they seem to be a bit of hit and miss sometimes. However for the price, you cant knock it
