Anti-Workshop…Vegas Baby!

antisincity

I’m a little giddy at the moment (hence the post at half past one in the morning!), but I just booked a place on a three day photography workshop in Las Vegas for next March! It’s called the Anti-Workshop and is organised by four photographers whose work I have admired and drooled over for ages.

The three days are designed to help photographers develop their own style and give them hands-on instruction on things like lighting and posing, all in a very cool location (downtown Las Vegas) with models. If there was anything like it on this side of the pond I would be signing up in a heartbeat but as far as I have looked into it there’s nothing of this calibre or style outside of America. So after much debating with myself I have decided that life is too short and I’m going to take this jump.

So does anyone have any recommendations on how to get the best price on flights?

Woohoo good for you. Don’t know much about cheap flights but I usually use GoHop.ie

    Enjoy!

Sounds like a great time. http://www.sidestep.com lets you do flight comparisions across a load of airlines. I’d also look at priceline.

    Way to go Claire!!
What a fantastic experience that will be – and in Vegas too.
You’re so lucky to be going, I am (Pantone 347, coated) green with envy ;-)

Remember plenty of 4Gb cards and spare batteries.
Will you be blogging the trip?

Hey I got through a whole comment post without even mentioning Lightroom…
    …Doh!

    I’m still giddy, can’t believe I’m going!

Yes Davy, I will most definitely be blogging the experience. I’ll have to invest in a couple more cards and things so I don’t run out! Oh, and I think a lot of the photographers over there have switched over to Lightroom so I will no doubt come back a convert…mind you it wouldn’t take much, I’ve been very impressed with what I’ve seen of it so far.

You should try to get the returning flight out of Seattle and see if Matt will let you come visit us for a couple days. Marci and I could get you up from Las Vegas to us. When are you gonna be so close again??

Haha! Oh, it wouldn’t take much to convince me :D

I will do some date crunching and try and figure out a way to do it.

Hi Ross, I’m hoping to stick around for the first day or two of WPPI too. I haven’t booked any flights yet but I had a look on expedia.co.uk and gohop.ie and both seem to have some good deals. Delta airlines seems to be coming out cheapest so far.
