The icing on the cake of a pretty amazing weekend was getting to be a judge at the Chocolate Love Fest in the Happy Pear on Sunday. I know I’ve mentioned the Pear before but it really is a special place and they’re always organising cool things like this. People were invited to bring along their best chocolate creations and there was a table set outside where we could all sample the results.

Some of the other judges. We took our job very seriously:

It started off fairly tame but I guess the judging took too long for the rest of the crowd. Before too long we were surrounded:

Well, they were pretty delicious:

I wish I’d known about this! I could have made my chocolate cherry torte… mmmmmm.
Have you seen the channel four programe about the chocolate maker, Sundays at 9? Chocolate porn indeed, he’s gorgeous!

Oh my God, I live three minutes walk from that chocolate. How come I didn’t smell it? Why was I not drawn to it? How did I not know?????

And breathe……

Jo, I just saw the ad for the chocolate maker programme, WOW! I think I would put on about 10lbs just by looking at that stuff!

Darren, in fairness, the chocolate probably didn’t last long enough for the smell to reach you 😀

YUMMY!!!

I came across your site from Ryan, whose blog I always read and you now have me addicted to bookmooch! Thanks!! 😉
Love all your photos too 😉

Wow, the strawberry torte looks incredible. I absolutely love to eat chocolate, and I think strawberries and chocolate are meant to be together. Thanks for the great pics.
