Just one more day until the Blog Awards and it seems like you can’t get away from us bloggers! The Irish Times, Tubridy, Today FM, the Metro all had pieces on blogging in the last couple of days and tonight there will be a few of us on the Six One news on RTE 1. The girls from Beaut.ie, Damien Mulley and myself were all interviewed about our webpages and the awards and we’ll be on the news this evening.
Brown Bag, where I’m working at the moment, were great sports and said we could have my interview in the studio during my lunch hour and I have to admit I was pretty nervous…I just hope RTE cut out the part where I said I was an amateur photographist!

I have sky+ set to record the news. I wonder if there’s some fancy way of transferring a recording to my PC..
I hadn’t read this piece before accidently coming across you on the Six One news. Excellent, a credit to you, you looked as confident as a weather presenter! And nice touch to see the trusty Canon on your desk. No mention of amateur photographist.
Donncha, I’m completely useless when it comes to those kind of things, I’m sure there’s a way of doing it but I have no clue what it is!
John, well I’m relieved to know that they cut out that gem and thanks for saying I looked confident. I was shaking in my shoes! I’ve not seen it myself yet, hopefully one of my relatives will have managed to get it on video.
You were great and it was a good piece. Well done. it was great to see such a lively news piece about the awards, and fairplay to your work for letting in interview happen in work though in fairness they can do nothing but gain by it and great cos they obviously realise that:)
I am delighted they cut out your photographist bit! I did an interview myself which will be out next week (I’ll blog about it, of course) and I did something along the same lines, I can’t remember what the word was, BUT as soon as it left my mouth I thought ‘what did you just say’
Anyway I am hoping my own photographist moment is also cut! Here’s hoping
I meant to say I missed it too, I had two people texting me to say they saw my banner on it, so I went to RTE and the segment is online, so go check yourself out and pat yourself on the back…
