Christmas morning wouldn’t be the same without crowds of crazy people jumping into the sea all around Ireland. One of the most popular spots is the Forty Foot in Sandycove and this year my husband Matt was one of the lunatics:

We go down every year now and the atmosphere is always great. Here’s a few more of the other swimmers with a couple more shots on Flickr:

I just love this. If I could, I would do it, too. I would be so proud of myself!

Great photos! I especially like the one with the dog looking down at the swimmers :)
By the way, I like your site’s new look!

I’m totally with Angelina, I love the pic with the dog! I contemplated jumping into the forty foot on Christmas when I lived in Dublin, however, I am well aware of how cold the Irish Sea is in the summer. I just couldn’t quite talk myself into it.
