#7: Eve

Eve
Canon 10D 28mm, f1.8, 1/250, ISO 800

I know, it’s really a bit of a cheat for me to use Eve as my daily portrait, but I’m not very well today (sniffle, cough) so I didn’t stray from the house…and the dog ate my homework Miss.

I’m not sure how I’ll continue these portraits…whether I’ll keep posting them or keep it for a personal project. It’s hard to post other stuff when I’m so consumed with getting a portrait every day. Maybe I’ll do it for a month or just post occasional highlights. Will have to have a think about it.

I know the feeling of being sick at least… and its always hard to remain committed to projects, at least outwardly. Life has ways of stopping these.. colds… abscence of people to photograph etc.

Beautiful portrait! Eyes are pin sharp from what I can see and there’s a nice bit of blurring going on there too.

Maybe you did bite off a bit too much there aiming for a daily portrait. I for one would be very happy with a portrait a week!

You can’t stop posting now! I’m so excited to see the rest of the portraits.

    See you in Vegas!

It isn’t a cheat to use Eve at all. The Young Wan has featured heavily over the years in all my work. You should stock pile your pics, take loads over weekends and stagger them. It is a big project and I’m sure it will be a pain in the *rse at times but well worth it when you get into it.

A portrait a day is a very tall order – I can’t even take a picture every day.Great stuff so far, mind.

I think I will keep trying for a portrait a day but not get too worried if I have to miss a day here and there. I like your suggestion, Redmum, of taking a few on the weekends and staggering them. I do think it’s good to do a personal project like this because it really does stretch you!

Josh, I cannot wait for Vegas, it’s going to be amazing and it’ll be here before we know it!

Peter…my darling brother…you always have such kind words of encouragement :P
