PhotoWalk

door

On Saturday afternoon, before the ladies tea party, I went on my very first photowalk. I can’t believe I’ve never been along to one before because it was a great laugh. Mind you, I didn’t really take that many photos, I was far too busy chatting and the weather meant we were forced (twisted arms you understand) into O’Donoghues for a drink or three. You can’t really blame me though, surrounded by lovely people like Redmum (who organised it all!), Elly, Phil, Andy, Keith, Ryan, John, Owen and Sandy (who joined us in the pub). We definitely need to do it again sometime!

Here’s a few that I did get:

Body Piercing
Canon 10D, 17mm, f5.6, 1/90, ISO 100

Newspaper Vendor
Canon 10D, 17mm, f6.7, 1/45, ISO 100

Ugg
Canon 10D, 17mm, f6.7, 1/45, ISO 100

Trinity Door
Canon 10D, 17mm, f6.7, 1/180, ISO 100

Claire, the last photo is of my house! How random! You should have come up for a cup of tea!

Gayle, that’s mad! I would have rung the bell had I known. Cool house by the way!

Hey – firstly congrats on the award, well deserved too – great shots. Secondly do you ever discuss what post production you do? do you do any? i don’t know its not something i talk about on my site a lot, but in a lot of cases i potatoshop the things until they scream and see what comes out. But it looks, to me at least, that you spend some time on PP and you get some great results.

(apologies if wrong and these are straight out of the camera – either way they are great)

Hi there toast! I have done a few posts on my Photoshop methods. If you click on the Tutorials link on the front page under Categories you can see them there. I love to use Photoshop although I mainly just put an S curve and a Levels layers on my shots to boost contrast and colour (like the ones on this post). I suppose it just depends on the shoot and the mood I want to bring out. I plan to do some more Photoshop posts in the future though as I learn new stuff.
