Sorry Omani, but if I ever decide to do a photo-trip to Cork you’ll be the first to know. Don’t worry, animation still takes first place. In fact I have a lot of animation lined up for this year, I just can’t really talk about it on the blog!

Hi Claire, Thanks so much! I’m so looking forward to it. My family hate having photos taken and I’m incredibly unphotogenic so it will be a big challenge for you! I was just thinking that if it works out, it would be the first time I met a blogger human being in the flesh!

Omani you should travel up ‘From Cork to Dublin with Baby Grace’. (Think of the blogpost potential if nothing else, although you seem to need no inspiration to write!)

This is a terrible offer you have made. Here I am in Cork, excluded, outside the Pale, condemned to witness the preferred portraits from afar.
I remember being in Paris when CBresson was looking for a subject, and I was walking down the other street.

There is nothing for it but you have to travel to Cork where I’ll model for you on each of the bridges off the island that stands in the Lee. No one has ever been photographed on every one of the bridges, so you could make a whole portfolio around photo-bridges. A new genre, eh.

If you’re into canoeing while photographing, it would be even better: the challenge of getting the depth of field right on a moving current… such a powerful angle of vision…

I hope you’re not moving away from animation.

I especially like taking photos of people. I have been thinking about doing something like this myself – just in the last few days in fact. I might ask some friends before moving on to strangers. I almost asked an old couple who asked me what day it was as I was taking photos today. They missed Saturday…
