I'm planning a trip to see Cars this week, I'll make sure to get there on time to see the short as well. As for what I think of Pixar, well, I'm not ashamed to say I am in awe of what they do. Not just in terms of animation (and my jaw is permanently on the ground when I watch their films because of the animation alone) but also in terms of story-telling and character. Not just in terms of animation (and my jaw is permanently on the ground when I watch their films because of the animation alone) but also in terms of story-telling and character. Although I admit I know nothing about animation, techniques & strategies, I'm increasingly becoming exposed to the medium. I took my young nephew to see "Cars" last night. The movie itself was fine but I was captivated by the short Pixar film that was shown before hand. It was called "One Man Band" and featured two buskers duelling for a young child's coin. I loved the atmosphere that was created, and the way the music was so integral to the story. It also amused me to think of a very US animation studio creating a very French movie feel.
