Powerscourt Waterfall

waterfall
We braved the weekend weather and headed down to Powerscourt Waterfall on Saturday. I wanted to try out my new lens and Matt’s mother was visiting from England so we thought we’d show her a bit of the Irish countryside and Eve enjoyed the “Pash, Pash, Pash” (insert hands-splashing-water image).

We weren’t there long before the heavens opened so I only got a few shots in. On the whole I was happy with my lens, although the colours and sharpness are never going to be a match for the results I get with my wide-angle, 17-40L lens. Matt makes fun of me for taking close-up photographs of trees but I like how this one turned out.

Those pics are A M A Z I N G ! Seriously, I love your photography! I just set the waterfall shot as my background picture!

You are more talented than I could’ve imagined!

Glad you got some good time out and about before the rains came.

Love to you and your family!

A good slap on the nose with a rolled up magazine and a firm no to anyone that takes the mickey out of you for taking good photographs:D
Some very nice shots there. Well done.

Amazing photo’s love the waterfall. Coincidence I too like taking close up photo’s of trees. Especially the trunk bark, it’s a texture that cannot be reporduced, original to nature.

Love the waterfall shot – I bet you were chuffed to get at least a couple of good shots before the rain. I never thought to take bark shots, but I really like how that one turned out.
